Gyalse Thogme Zangpo

Gyalsé Ngulchu Thokmé (1297-1371) was born in Puljung, Tibet. He studied and mastered infinite teachings from all Buddhist traditions, thereby devoting his entire life to the Buddhadharma which he spread through composition, teaching and debate. Through the power of his great compassion, he could take upon himself the suffering of others and give them peace and happiness. His disciples include Khenchen Lochen Jangchup Tsemo (1303-1380), Butön Rinchen Drup (1290-1364 and so on. He passed away in 1371 amidst wondrous signs of realization. His writings consist of Thirty-Seven Practices of the Bodhisattvas, Ocean of Good Explanation, and How to Transform Sickness and Other Circumstances.
